I think I pulled something at work today in my right leg; it hurts something aweful.

Can't wait to go get dinner tonight with all the furries! I might just get some tortilla soup or something like that since I'm trying to be careful what I eat; I think that'll help with a lot of my problems. So far today, I ate a bowl of Total with cranberries (which was delicious), a My Omega bar, a few pretzels with mustard, and a South Beach Tide Me Over drink mix.

I do need to go get more cranberry juice from Walmart when my new debit card comes back in; I'm glad we have the credit card for emergencies like this, but I'd rather not use it. As soon as I get that bill in I'm just throwing money at that account. D:

Well, everything yesterday was great, and it was going to be a good relaxing morning before work until I woke to the sound of roommate playing RIDICULOUSLY LOUD INTERNET VIDEOS AT RETARDED VOLUMES! If I can hear it through closed doors at the other end of the apartment, there's an issue. There's no reason for anything to be that loud, especially during a time where Izzy's sleeping. Grr.

Izzy did get me Okami yesterday, and I really want to play some of that, but I probably won't have time to until tomorrow after work. ;__; That game makes me want to draw so bad (something else I won't get to do until Tuesday after work.

Seriously, though: it's rather murderously unfair to schedule a closing and an opening shift back to back. ;_;

So after all is said and done, Izzy and I worked things out, and we're now doing better than ever. After he called me last night, we talked about it and now things are fine. I guess there was a big misunderstanding on both our parts, but in the end I'm the one who really fucked up.

He was really hurt, though. And we both held each other and cried this morning. Things were going great until his work called. Apparently some stuff went down and now he's in danger of losing his job for something he didn't do. I'm really scared and he's so tore up, but he's submitting his statement and his manager and his regional supervisor have his back; I hope they pull through for him. The whole situation is really fucked up and it makes me want to go and just start punching people and everything around them.

So, if anybody sees Izzy, please don't be mad or frustrated at him. He made things right between us, and now he's in a bit of a rough spot (as we both are now, too; we could lose the apartment). Izzy needs hugs more than anything right now, though. ;_____;

Well, looks like the roommate found somewhere, which is good. I wish Izzy'd quit being a dick about things. I understand that he's a bit frustrated, but he needs to be mindful of how he treats people.

There's so much I need to do around the apartment, home improvement-wise. I already replaced the shower head and got a drying rack for the sink (which I've needed for a little over a year). This is more of a list of things for my own reference (maybe accountability would come into play at some point XD ).

-Replace Shower curtain and liner
-Oxyclean the couch and carpet spots
-Small rug for the inside of the apartment
-Get more milk crates and zip ties for the inside of the hall closet for shoe organization
-Bedroom closet *shudder*

There will be a lot of stuff to do once Kobe's moved out, too. I'll figure that out when it gets to that point.

Okay, so I technically just got back from one, but the hardest part is always feeling like you've not gotten any rest at all. D:

MFF was amazing! For our first out of state convention, Izzy and I had a great time! The convention hotel was pretty nice, although the layout was a little wonky and walking to the headless lounge from the Artist's Alley was murder. Izzy suited for a good portion of the con and I wore the partial on Saturday and Sunday for about an hour at a time. The con suite was probably the best I'd ever been to at any convention and con staff was great! My only regret was not staying up late enough in the evenings (I honestly went to bed at 11PM at the latest, which I don't even do at home!!

This one guy... ugh... he seemed to be everywhere and he was totally obnoxious. I didn't get the name on his badge, but one of the first things out of his mouth was how Izzy's suit looked like a Latin Vixen knock off and how he was superior for making his out of fiberglass (mind you, I never saw this guy in suit an he was obnoxious that you could hear him several times during the convention). If I ever saw him again, I'd punch him in the face.

Of course while we were up there we got some awesome Chicago pizza, and I finally was able to sort of get things right with my grandparents. That was a huge load off my mind.

So now that I'm home, I need to do some hardcore cleaning of my apartment. The apartment smells like dog piss even though our roommate and a friend were both supposed to be coming in to make sure my dog was walked and my cat was fed. I got some of the bedding washed for Jack, but it still smells like dog in the apartment. Our roommate also left a huge mess in the kitchen and don't get me started on the rest of the place... it's terrible. I don't know how to approach my roommate either. It looks like he's not going to be paying us rent this month (he overdrew his account 17 times last month) and he won't clean up his own messes. He's got no money to move his stuff out, and even then I guess he legally has 30 days. :/

This sucks.

So, I'll probably post a full con report once I make it back to Georgia. So far, the con has been absolutely amazing! I'm noticing a lot more technical things as far as cons go, now.

Chicago's been interesting. I called up my grandparents, and I should be having them meet Izzy for the first time ever, even though we've been married a year. If you know me in real life, you've probably heard me rant about them not showing up to my wedding or reception (which was a few months later) because they were "on vacation." Well, that's something they're never getting back.

I mean, I know my family's not the favorite like my aunt's is to them, and I think that I'm at the point where cynicism is making me come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter because they're so old and never going to change. They don't even realize that they've hurt me and my family in the past by using us as nothing more than a family pit-stop on their snow-bird trips to Florida, Barbados, Hawaii, etc. The important things in life they weren't ever there for in lieu of spending trivial time as well as most other time with people they found to be more important than my father's family (even though he worked his ass off trying to get my mom and everybody where they are to day, which was a lot better off than when we were in Chicago).

I don't know... I find it hard to deal with this since I'm the one going out of my way to contact them... to make amends for things I've not done wrong. I feel like I've been cheated out of a lot; maybe I'm making a big deal out of things, though. But they've never even met my husband! We've been married for over a year and not once have they even popped in! Sure, they sent us stuff, but that's not the same at all.

I'm just frustrated. :/

Okay. Doing the uncontrollable coughing thing in spurts today. Not a fun game at all, and it hurts. If it's not one thing, it's another... and now I'm not even sure what's making me cough at all since all of my other symptoms are either completely or mostly gone. This blows.

Work was long today. Real long. I guess Sundays always feel like that because when I work I'm there before the mall opens and I stay until after it closes.

And now, I'm hungry, and Izzy didn't make any food. ;____;

Can't sleep. I went to bed really early last night, but pretty much spent from 6AM until nearly 8 coughing nonstop before Rook decided she was going to sit on me and howl until I fed her. Having to be at work at 10:30 on a Sunday is bullshit.

I think I've got everything in order for MFF now. I just need to figure out what to do as far as condensing down the art supplies in something easier to carry. I'm not sure how much art I'll get done at MFF since Izzy will be suiting the whole time (or most of the time). I just hope he'll not fall down any stairs or anything like that. His head's visibility is fine, but he's blind without his glasses.

I guess we're leaving Tuesday after the meet-up as we have a detour to make before the convention. I really hope I can get Obliviouz to come by and make sure Jack's been walked and Roo-roo has food and such. I don't know how much Kobe will be home this week.

You guys rock. Also, you should have finished eating that cake... I'm trying to start back on my diet. I know I have a horribly hard time sticking to it, but when from being sick, I guess I shed a few pounds. Enough to fit into a pair of pants I hadn't been able to wear since before my wedding. They were a little tight, but I had no issues buttoning or zipping them, and that was quite a shock to me. I just need to make sure I don't blow it when I go to Chicago. Only going to Aurellio's once and then I'm done. No Sanfrantello's or Gino's East for me this time (even though I know I'll kick myself later for it).

I think the soup helps a lot, especially if I get just the organic chicken broth and put my own veggies and noodles in it. I think it tastes better, anyway, and that way I can make sure I get the Trader Joe's pasta in there with all of it's whole wheat goodness. <3

Celery tastes so much better in soup.

Got the new Rammstein album and Peter Heppner's Solo album today Even though I'm kind of bitter about the whole thing that went down with Wolfsheim, I love Heppner's voice, and his Solo album was rather nice. The Rammstein album I was pleasently surprised by; some of the songs were a bit off the wall, but I suppose you come to expect that of them. Especially considering the deluxe collector's edition (which I don't believe has been released yet) came with an interesting array of extras.

I need to get caught up on a few more artists with their newer albums  as well as buy Dax Johnson's other albums off of iTunes.

Just a little frustrated. I thought I was getting a lot better and then today it seemd like I couldn't even drag myself out of bed. This sucks. On top of that, I've not been able to come up with anything interesting art-wise. :/

Also, I'm getting really, really tired of watching Scrubs reruns. I don't mind watching it from time to time, but it's the only thing Izzy seems to want to put in the DVD player.

So, I'm finally able to smell things a little bit, and finally got a whiff of the Emergen-C stuff that I've been taking a few times to help combat my plague, and it smells like the vitamin sand we've got in Jose's tank, which I think smells like burnt rice.

Does anybody know anything about Leopard Geckos? Jose's been really sluggish lately, which could be because he may be shedding, but I'm not seeing that his color is muting at all. His heat lamp is on and I've tried turning it off earlier than normal, but there's not much of a change with the little guy, and I'm beginning to get worried.

So, I feel as if I've been coughing up my lungs today. Getting rid of them would be much easier, albeit just slightly more messy than things are now.

I did find anti-viral tissues, which both confuses and excites me in little ways that makes this cold a bit more bearable. Izzy's still sick, too, and he's not so pleased with having to go into work. At least he's better off now than he was a few days ago. :/

luckydawolf , drgnkiyo , and towyncoyote just left here, and not too long after I closed the door, but I went into a random coughing fit. So after a brief moment of searching I found that I was out of cough medicine, cough drops, and the like and was certainly not pleased about this.

So, I poked around on the internet to see what I could use at home that I had on hand. I ended up finding that I could mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 2 tablespoons of vodka made even the itchy-tickly sensation go away. Random. O_o

So, just pretty much ran errands today. Nothing exciting until perhaps the meet tonight.

Got a rat for Mr. Mittens, who didn't get all cranky when we took him out of his tank for feeding. He shed again, which surprised me (he's not grown that I can tell from last time he shed. O_o

He did manage to knock over some body wash in the bathtub and get the cap off (OMGWTFHOW?), so he now smells like flowers, which I'm not sure how I feel about right now.

AT&T just called Izzy and inquired them about $200+ dollars that we owed them for unreturned equipment. I called earlier this month about the same issue. They say we have 2 boxes from the last apartment that never made it back to them. Well, we only, first off, had one box for our cable and that one and only box was taken by the guy who came to install it at the new apartment when we moved in in June.

The same super-helpful guy that seeing my box on the table informed me he could take it back for us instead of mailing it out since he was a certified technician for AT&T U-Verse. Same guy that didn't install our cable properly to begin with and gave us his business card to call him back with with problems. Well, after several calls and voicemails from me he never came back to fix the cable he horribly screwed up on. We had to call tech support, wait on the phone for nearly an hour just to talk to someone so they could send another technician down a week later.

Guess I'll be canceling my cable and looking for a new internet service provider. Anybody ever had this happen before? Or know how to deal with this situation? I don't want to call back for a second time this month, submit the same case to AT&T and have this happen just a few weeks later again. I'm tired of this bullshit.
